Learning to drive with us
All WayFWD instructors teach in a Ford Fiesta. It’s a versatile car which is safe, comfortable and fun to drive.
Each car features:
- Dual controls
- Power steering
- Air conditioning
- Driver and passenger air bags
The Fiesta has a top five-star Euro NCAP rating. We ensure all of our cars are regularly serviced to maintain reliability, and safety standards.
Before you begin
To begin learning to drive, you’ll need to be at least 17 years old, and have a valid provisional driving licence.
If you’ve not applied for a provisional licence yet, you can apply for one with the DVLA
The Theory Test
The theory test is an important and critical step in preparing for your practical test – you won’t be able to book your practical test, until you’ve passed the theory.
Revise and practice frequently before your exam.
The Practical test
Your instructor will keep you informed of your progress and will let you know when you’re ready to take a practical test.
Our rates for practical tests are: £70 Weekdays or £75 Saturday. This includes a warm-up lesson, hire of the car for the test and the drive home.
To book your practical test, you’ll need the following:
- Your provisional driving licence, both photo & counter parts.
- Your theory test certificate number
